The British Society of Baking (BSB) was founded in 1955 by a group of leading UK bakers who had attended the American Society of Bakery Engineers (ASBE) conferences. Impressed with the American society and the content of its conferences, they felt that a similar organisation in the UK would be helpful for people involved in all aspects of the baking industry.
