BSB Treasurer and Conference Coordinator Jim Brown had the surprise of his life at the start of the 2016 Autumn conference when Past Chairman Sara Autton presented him with a silver salver in appreciation of his long service to the society. Although he remains as BSB Treasurer and will be on hand to help the society in any way he can, Jim is standing down as BSB Conference Coordinator and from his involvement in the day to day running of the BSB. Jim will be 75 years old in January 2017 and although fit and well, feels that this is the best time to step down, particularly when we have such a forward looking Chairman and Vice Chairman in Paul Turner and Jane Tyler and a very talented and active BSB Executive committee. Jim was so overwhelmed at receiving the award that he could not say a few words of thanks at the time. He would therefore like to say now how grateful and honoured he was to receive the commemorative silver salver and that it now has pride on place in his home.
